Skitouring in 1 day at Vincent Pyramid 4215 m - M. Rosa

Skitouring to Vincent Pyramid 4215 m, in the Monte Rosa massif. A panoramic peak that will let you to ski on the glacier in a magical place

Informazioni aggiuntive

Spring 2024 has finally given us lots of snow in the mountains, let's make the most of it before summer takes over! Come with us to ski above 4000 m, to do so we suggest the climb to the Vincent Pyramid, with ideal slopes for skiing and a real balcony overlooking Valsesia, the Aosta Valley and the peaks of Monte Rosa.

The possibility of using the ski lifts up to Punta Indren (3275 m) allows us to immediately put on our skis and be able to make the ascent in the same day, as long as we take the first cable car in the morning and proceed at a slow but constant pace. The climb to this peak presents intermediate ski mountaineering difficulties (classified BSA) and therefore suitable for good skiers, already familiar with the use of crampons and ice axe on classic snowy terrain. It is mandatory to have this equipment with you on this type of itinerary but we will try to use it as little as possible and prefer as long as we can only use our skis.

The climb will take place mainly on a glacier and allows you to have a view of the most beautiful and highest peaks of Monte Rosa, with slopes that are very suitable for ski mountaineering. Ski with us before summer takes away the snow!

Schedule

Climb possible in one day from Varese:

  • journey to Alagna Valsesia or Staffal (Gressoney)

  • climb towards the Piramide Vincent passing near the Mantova and Gnifetti refuges

  • descent skiing down to Indren
