From March 12-20th we went with a super group of ski mountaineers to the Lyngen Alps, northern Norway, a fjord west of Tromso. It was a challenging week in terms of the weather. The conditions didn't stop us, and in 6 days we climbed more than 6000 metres in altitude. As always in this period, fantastic snow, pure powder! Below is a short story from one of the participants in this beautiful week.....

"12-20 March 2025 _ travel notes _ The true spirit of a trip is to be prepared to experience an adventure made up of surprises, encounters, unexpected events, changes of plan, moments and sensations, everything you don't expect. And even more! And so it was, beyond all expectations!

A ski touring tour in the Norwegian lands, between Tromsø, Lyngen and Uløya: base of operations in Lattervik, in a villa-apartment with every comfort and a scenic sea/mountain view. A daydream... and with skis and skins on! 9 days in the magic of the Northern Lights, among fairy-tale panoramas, cobalt fjords stretching out towards the sea and truly unusual Nordic scenery, always surprising travel postcards: the Lyngen Alps are islands of rare beauty, with enchanted groves of larch and fir leading to dusty slopes, sometimes swept by the North wind, but with a constant scenic view of the fjord. Here, every turn of the skis is an emotion that stuns and disorients with its intensity and charm. The Lyngen Alps and the island of Uløya provided the setting for this unique experience, which was also special because of the snow conditions, which were truly extraordinary this year! 😅 A journey in its most lively essence, thanks above all to the human factor, which should not always be taken for granted, indeed it can make (and always does!) the difference! 😂 And it can create added value to an already unique and truly extraordinary experience.

On this occasion I met a very special group: close-knit and always positive people, often ironic and full of enthusiasm, capable of joking, making fun of each other, in an atmosphere of lightness and healthy relaxation, despite the final climatic adversities (with extraordinarily heavy snowfall!), as well as the unexpected closure of the roads back to Trømso, due to the excessive amount of snow and the high risk of avalanches. It was great to share this trip with this group, and my thanks go to all of you: to Luca and Fabio (our ProUp Team Guides), to the comedy duo Davide and Stefano (Dj Funky), to Luca and Stefano (the Optimists), to Guru Franz (Master Shifu), to Luciano (the chef), to the Swiss trio Silvio, Francesco and Elisa (Trilly).
