Do you want to climb the most beautiful and famous mountains of Valtellina and which have marked the history of Italian mountaineering? Come and discover the upper Val Masino, where you will have the opportunity to venture onto the walls of Pizzo Badile, Pizzo Cengalo and many others accompanied by a Mountain Guide. We offer you a choice of what in our opinion are the most beautiful routes in the area, with a mountaineering character and never banal but which can give strong emotions:

  • Pizzo Cengalo - Spigolo Vinci (grade VI)

  • Piz Badile - Molteni route (grade V+) o via normale (III+)

  • Punta Sertori - Marimonti ridge (grade IV)

  • Sfinge - Bramani route (grade IV)

  • Punta Torelli - Mauri-Fiorelli route (grade VI)

Schedule

To be agreed directly with the Alpine Guide. The indicative program is as follows:

  • Day 1 - drive to Bagni di Masino (SO) or meeting on site, check of the equipment and approach to the refuge (Gianetti or Omio depending on the climbing route chosen), dinner and overnight stay.

  • Day 2 - early breakfast, ascent of the itinerary agreed or deemed suitable for the day based on weather factors/capacity of the client. Return to the valley and then towards home.

During the registration process for this event you will also be able to agree with the Guide on the possibility of booking the climbs for a further day, subject to the availability of space in the refuge.

Fee

The price of the trip depends on the climbing route chosen:

  • 2 people: from 350 to 380 euros/each

  • 1 person: from 650 to 700 euros

The prices offered include the organization of the climb, the accompaniment of the Alpine Guide, the teaching of techniques and the possible rental and use of mountaineering equipment.

Notes

The fee does not include: travel costs, food and accommodation, cable cars (also for the Guide) extras and everything that is not included in the "fee" item. The expenses of the Guide will be divided among the participants.

The proposals reported are indicative of a general program. They may undergo variations at the sole discretion of the Alpine Guide depending on weather and snow conditions or other variables.

Equipment

  • Harness, helmet, climbing shoes

  • Chalk-bag

  • 2 HMS screw-lock carabiners

  • 2 small (D shape) screw-lock carabiners

  • 1-2 kevlar slings for prusik (kevlar ring of 60 cm diameter) 

  • 1-2 kevlar slings for longe/abseil (kevlar ring of 120-130 cm diameter)

  • Belay device like Reverso, ATC or similar

  • 25-30 liter backpack

  • Approach shoes with Vibram sole

  • Food/snacks and water for almost 8-10 hours of activity in the mountains

  • Appropriate clothes for a climbing day in the mountains at 2500-3000 meters of altitude
