The Basic Mountaineering Course is aimed at all those who want to learn the techniques to be able to move independently in high mountain terrain in the summer, both on rock and ice. In the 4 outings we will cover various topics: safety, nodeology, belaying, progression technique, rope management on the ascent and descent, materials, equipment and cartography. Course organised in cooperation with the outdoor shop SFIDA 2.0
Schedule
Day 1: rope manoeuvres, nodology, materials, belays, rope management on ascent and descent, progression technique, double ropes.
Day 2: Rope handling on rocky terrain, reviewing manoeuvres from the first day, progression on rocky terrain in conserve.
Day 3-4: manoeuvres on glacial terrain, rope technique, cramponage, self-rescue in crevasse, ascent on glacial terrain.
Fee
400 per person
The fee includes:
Course organisation, accompaniment and teaching by an Alpine Guide, teaching materials and all necessary equipment for the course, accident insurance.
Notes
The fee does not include: travel, cable cars, mountain huts (the guide's fee to be divided between the participants), lunches and extras.
The above proposal is indicative of an outline programme.
